Some of us await facts before passing judgment on what or why the police did what they did. I wasn't there, so I don't know. On the bright side, it appears that there's now one less quack in the world. She was a vet though, I just discovered, so that's a loss for the veterinary world.
Philando Castille's mom said"The system continues to fail black people, and it will continue to fail you all. Like I said, because this happened with Philando, when they get done with us, they coming for you, for you, for you and all your interracial children. Y’all are next, and you will be standing up here fighting for justice just as well as I am."
Cops need to wear body cameras. It protects citizens and cops. There's no good argument against it. And there should be real punishments for officers who don't turn on their body cameras.
How long until they say she looked like a robbery suspect, or they bring up her past? Say they feared for their lives? No? They only do that to people of color? If you're outraged about this, remember it has been going on for decades. Only now, it's not only people of color who are targets.
It appears many have already made up their minds based on one side of the story. I'll reserve judgement until I hear the facts about both sides. Likely won't here the LE side on NBC though.
Body cams off. Police car video off. This is the perfect scenario for them. Give them a few more days to concoct a story and they'll be justifying the entire incident. #NoCamerasNoProof #TheSystemAllowsItToHappen
Waiting for conservatives to start saying if you obey the police then this will never happen???(Oh wait nevermind this lady's white so you won't hear a peep!)
Minneapolis Mn. resident and not happy we have not heard the details of this tragedy. It does not take more than 24 hours to talk to the killers, and report back to our communities. Busy getting their lies synchronized I guess.
According to most of these posts, this Country's police are just chomping at the bit to shoot the average citizen. I don't believe that the majority of our police are homicidal maniacs.
They are afraid of their own shadows and so people end up hurt or worse, dead. Geez Whiz. Why no camera footage. Do officers get to pick and choose whether or not to use them, OR is this just conveniently the excuse?
